BASICS Hampshire is a charity made up of fifteen medical professionals who in their spare time provide advanced medical care outside hospital. This means that hospital-level care, which seriously ill or injured patients need, is available at the scene of an incident and continues all the way to hospital. This saves lives and improve people’s chance of recovering better. |

The latest available figures show BASICS Hampshire had 1200 requests in a year to respond to serious road traffic accidents and other incidents, and was able to respond to 750. Unfortunately, since this is a volunteer service, the team can only respond when not doing their NHS work.
